On the first day we flew from Dortmund to London, Stansted Airport. <\/span>Then we went to the holiday home, wich<\/span> was very close to the city center. <\/span>We drove with the underground to Barbican station. <\/span>From there it was not far to the apartment. <\/span>In the evening we were in a restaurant. <\/span>It was very delicious. <\/span>And we were all (that means my family) very hungry … The day was very tiring.<\/span><\/p>\n On the first day we drove to the Warner Bros studios, where we did the studiotour.\u00a0<\/span> With me … As a Harry Potter fan I wanted to go there. <\/span>We’ve seen very many sets of Harry Potter. <\/span>It was just great. <\/span>And I drank a butterbier. <\/span>And was in the house of Dursleys, and … Ok, stop! <\/span>You have to go there yourself. <\/span>It is very difficult to describe, how it was there.<\/span>It was a very nice day\u00a0 in the studios …<\/span><\/p>\n On the third day we looked at the basic sights. <\/span>That means we were at LondonEye, not in it, but we’ve seen it. <\/span>At the Big Ben, the Elizabeth Tower, we were also …. <\/span>Only the bell is called Big Ben …<\/span><\/p>\n After that we went to the Houses of Parliament. <\/span>Of course we were not in there, as well?<\/span><\/p>\n We went on to Westminster Abbey … There we had a guided tour, and there was the grave of Shakespear, Georg Fridrich Haendel. <\/span>Also the tomb of Charles Darwin. <\/span>This was the man who set up the theory of evolution.<\/span><\/p>\n Then we continue to Trafalger Square. <\/span>There stands a column honoring Nelson, who brought a victory of the English over the French and Spaniards …<\/span><\/p>\n From Trafalger Square we took the underground to the station St. Pauls. <\/span>We passed the St. Paul’s Cathedral, and then we walked across the Millenium Bridge. <\/span>That was great! <\/span>The bridge is very futuristic (I wanted to be an architect a few years ago) and looks very great, and it is destroyed in Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince (6th part). <\/span>So, it was very important fore me, to go there…<\/span><\/p>\n On the fourth day we went to Buckingham Palace, with the underground. <\/span>And we watched the guards there. <\/span>That was nice, but we also stand a lot. <\/span>That was very hard.<\/span><\/p>\n Then we took the bus (a real red double decker …) to the Piccadilly Circus (There is really a lot of advertising!). <\/span>Then we have been eating in Chinatown, and have gone back to Piccadilly Circus. <\/span>From there, we took the subway to Baker Street station (Yes, Baker Street with Sherlock Holmes, the entire subway station was full with his face …). <\/span>From the station we went to Madame Tousauds. <\/span>And then I took photos with Emma Waton (Hemione Granger) and Robert Pattinson (Cedric Diggory, you know him as Edward from Twilight …) … Of course, I also made a picture with Einstein and a few other famous scientists. <\/span>And with Usain Bolt, Adele, the old Pope (Benedict XVI) and the Oval Office … And of course with Darth Vader and Yoda … There was an extra Star Wars exhibition.<\/span><\/p>\n Then we went to Kings Cross, which is the station from where the Hogwarts Express departs.<\/span><\/p>\n On the 5th day we were in the tower. <\/span>Did you know that legend, there must always be ravens, otherwise London will fall? <\/span>You can imagine\u00a0 a bit, how the people must have lived there before. <\/span>There are still people living there, namely the Yeomen … These are the guards there. <\/span>They live with their families in the Tower.<\/span><\/p>\n After the Tower we were on the Tower Bridge. <\/span>This is the one with the two towers. <\/span>Imagine the tower bridge is really so blue …. <\/span>This is really crazy. <\/span>As we crossed the Tower Bridge, we went to London Bridge. As we were there,<\/span> we went to the Borough Market, at wich we ate. <\/span>I tell you, such a good beagle with meat I found only there!<\/span><\/p>\n After we ate, we went by bus to the Leadenhall Market. <\/span>There were a few scenes of Harry Potter shot, and I took a photo of the entrance to the Dropping Cauldron.<\/span><\/p>\n After the Leadenhall Market we\u00b4ve gone home, where there were sandwiches …<\/span><\/p>\n That was the last day. <\/span>We took the Stansted Express back to the airport, and then flew back to Dortmund. <\/span>It was a wonderful time!<\/span><\/p>\n Greets, Jana<\/span><\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":" London Day 1 On the first day we flew from Dortmund to London, Stansted Airport.
